USA Hockey rule 601 (e) has been elevated to a Match Penalty, Oct 30th, 2019. The rule has always been a Game Misconduct and the interpretation of the rule has not been changed. The Officials have also not changed how the rule has will be assessed, but what has changed is that it will now result in a "Match Penalty" not a Game Misconduct.

All Coaches are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the rule and make sure that they discuss with their players the ramifications that this rule can have on them and their playing.
