USA Hockey has official opened registration for the 2022-23 season . If you'd like to be a referee or would like to upgrade your certification level for the 2022-23 season make sure you go to the USA Hockey Officials Program tab on the USA Hockey web site to register to get certified.

There is no minimum age to become an official, however it is recommended that potential officials wait until the age of 15 or 16 before registering to be a referee. History has shown us that new officials waiting until the age of 15 or 16 before starting officiating have a much better experience and are much more likely to return for a second season.
