USA Hockey opened officiating registration for the 2023-24 season on July 1st. If you'd like to be a referee for the 2023-24 season make sure you go to the USA Hockey Officials Program tab on the USA Hockey web site to register to get certified.

Note: there is no minimum age to become an official, however we do recommend that potential officials wait until the age of 15 or 16 before registering to be a referee. History has shown us that new officials waiting until the age of 15 or 16 before starting officiating have a much better experience and are much more likely to return for a second season.
