Mite

Designed to give our youngest players the opportunity to compete in a fun and friendly environment, the AAHA hosted 'free' Mite Jamboree's focuses on developing skills, so all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come out. This will be done in cross ice 'fun' orientated games with surprises at each session. These events will be announced as they are scheduled, but it planned that there will be a number of these scheduled throughout the upcoming season. New in 2018-19 is the Mite Select Division a new division set up as part of the AZYHL (Arizona Youth Hockey League) of AAHA. These sessions will also focus on skill development, but will provide a bit higher level of competition. For more information on Mite Selects follow this link,  https://www.azamateurhockey.org/page/show/4502495-mite-selects, for their schedule and playing rules.

These games will be half ice with teams limited to 10 players, 9 skaters and 1 goalie, to afford maximum ice time for each participant. It is planned that each Association of AAHA will host one event throughout the year and a schedule of those dates is below.
